Long summary
Edge can be used to read ePUB files on Windows with a native program (the web browser) of the operative system), that is, without installing external applications. In general, it provides a comfortable user experience, supporting features like searching, navigate to pages and sections, bookmarks and notes, and all non visual reading features. Navigation information is available just when TOC is used to locate sections or pages in the book. Moving to the next chapter also requires to use the table contents, and hierarchy is not presented in TOC for screen readers. For adding notes, it's recommended to ensure that caret browsing is active (press f7 for this). In browse mode, only screen layout is supported; so, pressing k or NVDA+f7 to open the Elements List dialog could be needed to locate the next link. As hyphenation can't be deactivated, Words can be splitted in different lines, and this may produce incorrect pronunciation in certain cases. Also, when navigating to different chapters in the book, the desired document is focused, but other frames can be presented below. This should be addressed when selecting text; for instance, use shift+down arrow instead of Shift+control+end to select a precisse piece of text. Press f6 to switch between the book text and the features of the reading system, such as Hub, table of contents, bookmarks or notes. Escape can be pressed several times to exit and come back to the book text.
